Odisha Revenue Services to Go Live on WhatsApp | CM Majhi to Launch Digital Grievance System
Bhubaneswar: In a landmark move toward digital governance, the Odisha Revenue Department is set to launch a WhatsApp-based service enabling citizens to file land-related complaints and applications directly from their phones.
The initiative, to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi tomorrow, promises round-the-clock accessibility, eliminating the need for repeated visits to tehsil offices.
Officials have assured that grievances will be resolved within a fixed timeframe, ensuring efficiency and transparency in the system.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari emphasised that strict action will be taken against officials found guilty of corruption, reinforcing the government’s commitment to accountability.
Citizens will also have the option to escalate unresolved issues directly to the minister via WhatsApp.
This service is expected to benefit thousands across Odisha, particularly in rural areas where bureaucratic hurdles often delay resolution of land disputes.
By integrating technology into governance, the state aims to make public services more accessible, transparent, and citizen-friendly.
