Odisha CM Invites Padma Awardees to Puri Rath Yatra 2026

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has extended a heartfelt invitation to all Padma Awardees from the state to participate in the upcoming Puri Rath Yatra, scheduled to begin on 16 July 2026.

In his message, Majhi conveyed blessings from Lord Jagannath and praised the awardees for their invaluable contributions in diverse fields such as art, literature, education, and science.

He emphasised that their achievements have brought immense pride and recognition to Odisha at both national and international levels.

The Chief Minister noted that the presence of Padma Awardees at the Rath Yatra would be a source of joy and inspiration, urging them to offer prayers for the prosperity and welfare of the state.

The Rath Yatra, one of the most significant festivals in Odisha, is expected to draw millions of devotees to witness the grand procession of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra.

Majhi’s gesture reflects the government’s commitment to honouring excellence while celebrating Odisha’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
