Four Passenger Trains Cancelled in Khurda Road Division on May 17

Bhubaneswar, May 16: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the cancellation of four passenger trains on Sunday, May 17, 2026, due to safety-related modernisation and maintenance works in the Khurda Road Division.

The affected services are:

  • Train No. 68411/68412 Bhubaneswar–Brahmapur–Bhubaneswar MEMU
  • Train No. 58405/58406 Cuttack–Paradip–Cuttack Passenger
  • Train No. 68435/68436 Cuttack–Paradip–Cuttack MEMU
  • Train No. 68437/68438 Cuttack–Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU

These short-haul and MEMU trains are crucial for daily commuters, students, and small traders, and their temporary suspension is expected to cause inconvenience.

Railway officials emphasised that the modernisation works are essential to improve safety, reliability, and operational efficiency across the division.

Passengers are advised to check train status on the NTES app or official enquiry counters before travelling and to plan alternate arrangements accordingly.
