Bangiriposi Police Seize Oil Tanker in Suspected Cattle Transportation Case

Mayurbhanj: In a major crackdown on alleged illegal cattle transportation, Bangiriposi Police seized an oil tanker suspected of being used to transport cattle in Mayurbhanj district.

The driver and helper of the vehicle have been detained for questioning.

According to reports, the tanker was intercepted near Punasia Railgola Bridge under Bankati Panchayat after local cow protection activists alerted the police about a suspicious vehicle moving along State Highway-50.

Acting on the information, a police team set up a checkpoint and stopped the tanker for inspection.

Following the seizure, the vehicle was taken to the Bangiriposi Police Station, where authorities launched a detailed investigation into the matter.
