Students Spread Cleanliness Message in Badabil with Rally, Street Play and Sanitation Drive

Badabil:  As part of the nationwide Swachh Bharat Mission, a vibrant cleanliness awareness rally was organized in Badabil on Friday. The initiative was jointly undertaken by Jindal School, Badabil Civil Society, the Municipality and Adhar Foundation, reinforcing the importance of hygiene and civic responsibility.

The rally, which started from Badabil Ghanta Ghar and concluded at Bata Chowk, witnessed the participation of nearly 200 students from Jindal School. Through impactful street plays, the students educated public about the dangers of littering in public spaces, highlighting issues such as diseases, accidents and environmental pollution. They also took part in cleaning the streets, setting a practical example of community service.

Municipal staff distributed awareness leaflets outlining strict measures against littering. The guidelines specified three levels of penalties: monetary fines for first-time offenders, fines along with public disclosure of names for repeat violators, and suspension of shop licenses for business owners found guilty of persistent violations.

The campaign’s success was ensured by the active involvement of key figures including Badabil SDPO Devendra Nath Pingua, Municipal Executive Officer Ramesh Chandra Nayak, Jindal School Principal Sangeeta Rani Das, Civil Society founder Advocate Rasanand Behera, Basant Kumar Mahanta, Rajesh Binani, Jindal School teachers and sanitary team of Badabil Municipality.

The rally not only promoted the spirit of cleanliness but also inspired citizens to pledge for a cleaner and healthier Badabil.
