Odisha to Roll Out Auto Appeal System by May 2026

Bhubaneswar, April 30: The Odisha Government has announced that the Auto Appeal System under the Odisha Right to Public Services Act (ORTPSA) will be launched by May 2026, ensuring time‑bound delivery of public services and strengthening citizen‑centric governance.

Approved by the State Cabinet, the system will automatically escalate cases to higher appellate authorities if designated officers fail to deliver services within the stipulated timeframe.

Officials described this as a “new era of accountability”, enabling citizens to track service requests digitally and reducing physical visits to government offices.

Principal Secretary Suresh Kumar Vasisth emphasised that the initiative will eliminate indefinite delays, while Project Coordinator Pinaki Mohanty highlighted its digital integration and real‑time tracking features.

Additional Secretary Debabrata Mallick noted that the Auto Appeal System adds a final safeguard for citizens’ rights, urging departments to integrate their databases with the central portal before the May deadline.

With participation from 32 departments, Odisha aims to position itself as a leader in digital governance and transparency.
