Khordha: Bomb Clash Between Brothers Turns Fatal
A violent quarrel between two brothers in Mahul village, Khordha district, escalated into a deadly confrontation when crude bombs were hurled during the dispute.
According to police, Mohan Padhi, the elder brother, died instantly after sustaining severe head injuries.
His younger brother, Madan Padhi, was critically injured, losing a palm in the blast.
He was first admitted to Capital Hospital before being shifted to SCB Medical College in Cuttack for advanced treatment.
Investigations suggest the brothers had stored bombs at home for hunting wildlife.
The heated argument led to twin explosions that shocked the locality.
Chandaka police, Bhubaneswar DCP, and Zone‑6 ACP reached the spot, while a scientific team collected samples for forensic analysis.
Authorities have launched a probe into the incident and the source of the explosives.
