SRK’s Birthday Surprise: ‘King’ Unveils First Song ‘Tu Mil Jaye’ with Deepika, Arijit & Ed Sheeran

Mumbai: The makers of King have unveiled the film’s first song, Tu Mil Jaye, as a special birthday gift for fans of Shah Rukh Khan.

The track was released on November 2, coinciding with the Bollywood superstar’s 61st birthday.

The romantic number features Shah Rukh Khan alongside Deepika Padukone, marking yet another collaboration between the popular on-screen pair after the success of films such as Pathaan and Jawan.

Composed by Sachin-Jigar, the song is sung by Arijit Singh and Madhubanti Bagchi.

Adding an international flavour to the soundtrack, British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has collaborated on the project, making the track one of the most anticipated Bollywood musical releases of the year.

The music video blends romance, emotion and action, showcasing stunning visuals and the chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

The song opens with a powerful dialogue by SRK’s character, hinting at a story driven by love, sacrifice and conflict.

Meanwhile, fans gathering outside SRK’s iconic residence, Mannat, were greeted with promotional displays for King.

Reports suggest the actor skipped his traditional birthday appearance due to filming commitments, while LED screens outside the residence showcased new posters from the upcoming film.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, King boasts a star-studded ensemble cast including Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi and Abhay Verma.

The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026.
