Odisha HUD Minister Unveils ₹74.87 Cr MSBY Projects Across 37 ULBs
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Housing & Urban Development Minister Dr Krushna Chandra Mahapatra will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for a massive set of projects under the Mukhyamantri Sahari Bikas Yojana (MSBY).
A total of 494 projects worth Rs 74.87 crore will be rolled out across 37 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs). Of these, 344 projects in 31 ULBs, costing Rs 36.89 crore, are completed and ready for dedication.
These include roads, drainage systems, community infrastructure, and public utility assets.
Boudhgarh leads with 58 completed projects, followed by Basudevpur (54) and Rourkela (34).
Simultaneously, 150 new projects in 19 ULBs, worth Rs 37.99 crore, will be launched.
The Cuttack Municipal Corporation tops the list with 50 projects worth Rs 17.20 crore, while Rayagada will take up 22 new initiatives.
Municipal Commissioners and Executive Officers will join the programme virtually via Odisha State Wide Area Network (OSWAN) to ensure smooth coordination.
The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to building modern, resilient, and citizen-friendly urban centres, enhancing infrastructure and civic amenities across Odisha.
