Odisha CM Launches Samarpan Digital Hundi for Jagannath Devotees Worldwide

Puri, Odisha – Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated Samarpan, a digital hundi platform for devotees of Lord Jagannath, at the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) office in Puri.

The launch comes just ahead of the sacred Rath Yatra 2026, marking a new era of transparent, technology‑enabled devotion.

Developed by the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) under the Electronics & IT Department in collaboration with SJTA, Samarpan allows devotees across the globe to contribute directly from their homes.

Donations can start from -1, with no upper limit, and payments are accepted via UPI, internet banking, debit/credit cards, and even WhatsApp.

The platform provides instant digital receipts, tax benefits with PAN details, and additional features such as temple information, daily ritual updates, Bhakta Niwas room booking, and announcements.

Speaking at the launch, CM Majhi described Samarpan as a “sacred and transparent bridge” connecting devotees worldwide.

He emphasised that contributions will be used for temple development, preservation, and maintenance, reflecting the government’s commitment to people‑centric governance.

The event was attended by Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Commerce & Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, Puri MP Dr Sambit Patra, Pipili MLA Ashrit Pattanayak, Satyabadi MLA Om Prakash Mishra, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary (I&PR) Hemant Kumar Sharma, and SJTA Chief Administrator Dr Arabind Kumar Padhee.

With Samarpan, Odisha has introduced a secure, clean, and time‑saving way for millions of devotees to express their faith, especially during the upcoming Rath Yatra.
