Odisha Opens 24×7 Rice ATM in Dhenkanal

Odisha has taken another step toward modernising its Public Distribution System (PDS) with the inauguration of a Rice ATM in Dhenkanal district.

The facility, launched by Supply Minister Krushna Chandra Patra, ensures round‑the‑clock access to food grains for beneficiaries.

This marks the second such installation in the state, following earlier setups in Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda.

Beneficiaries can withdraw their entitled rice using fingerprint authentication and card numbers, making the process transparent and convenient.

The minister announced plans to expand the initiative by setting up Rice ATMs in every district, strengthening food security and accessibility across Odisha.
