Odisha Schools to Hold Summative‑I Exams in September
The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has announced that Summative Assessment‑I (SA‑I) examinations for the academic year 2026‑27 will be conducted in the fourth week of September.
The directive applies to students from Shishu Vatika‑III up to Class VIII in all government and government‑aided schools across the state.
The circular, issued by Additional Director (Quality) Smt. Amita Pattnaik, has been marked “Most Urgent” and instructs District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Programme Coordinators (DPCs) to ensure timely completion of the exams.
Schools are required to strictly follow the government‑approved Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and adhere to the Assessment Framework for School Education.
Copies of the directive have also been sent to Block Education Officers and Directors of Elementary and Secondary Education for necessary action.
The move aims to maintain uniformity, timely evaluation, and smooth academic progress across Odisha’s school system.
