CM Majhi Calls Influencers “Digital Ambassadors” for Odisha’s Growth

Bhubaneswar, June 12: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, addressing social media influencers and digital creators at Lok Seva Bhawan, urged them to become “Digital Ambassadors” for a prosperous Odisha and a developed India.

Marking two years of his government, Majhi emphasised the guiding principle of “Nation First,” distinguishing constructive criticism of governance from disrespect toward the country.

He cautioned against sensational or misleading content that could harm youth, stressing the importance of purpose‑driven, uplifting digital messaging.

Acknowledging Gen‑Z’s creativity, Majhi warned of challenges like information overload and online negativity, urging influencers to harness their platforms for positive change.

Highlighting Odisha’s cultural heritage, he invoked Lord Jagannath’s teaching of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family), reminding creators of their responsibility to uphold values.

He strongly advised against fake news, communal discord, dangerous stunts, and harmful online challenges.

The interactive session saw participation from influencers, educationists, health experts, artists, and literary figures, with senior officials ensuring its success.

The government aims to collaborate with digital voices to build a progressive, culturally rooted narrative for Odisha.
