Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida Calls Women to Join ‘Aashirbad Ka Diya’ Drive

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has urged women across the state to participate in the Aashirbad Ka Diya programme on September 17, 2026, as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan–2026.

The initiative encourages women to light lamps symbolising service, gratitude, empowerment, and aspirations for Viksit Bharat 2047 and Viksit Odisha 2036.

Parida emphasised that each diya represents women’s strength, dignity, and contribution to state and national development.

Self‑Help Groups (SHGs), Lakhpati Didis, Producer Groups, federations, and other women beneficiaries are expected to join the statewide drive.

Senior officials, including Mission Shakti Secretary Mansi Nimbhal and Director Dr Monica Banerjee, along with grassroots representatives from all 30 districts, attended the review meeting to finalise preparations.

The programme, running from September 17 to October 17, 2026, aims to foster civic responsibility and highlight women‑led development in Odisha.
