Mohan–Munna Duo Triumphs in Badabil Carrom Tournament Final
Badabil, Keonjhar District: The Open Doubles Knockout Carrom Tournament held at Badabil Town Club concluded on Wednesday evening with a gripping final match.
Local champions Mohan Gupta and Munna Gupta clinched the coveted trophy after an electrifying three-hour contest.

In the first semifinal, Mohan Gupta and his partner overcame Sanjay Mahakud’s team to secure their spot in the final.
The second semifinal witnessed Vinay Gupta and his partner defeating Vikas Mahanto’s duo, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown.
The final, played in a best-of-three format, kept the audience enthralled. Vinay Gupta and Irshad Khan won the opening game 32–28.

Mohan and Munna responded strongly, taking the second game 33–28.
In the decisive third game, the Mohan–Munna pair dominated with a 35–21 victory, sealing the championship.
The closing ceremony was attended by Badabil NAC Executive Officer Ramesh Chandra Nayak, Badabil Range Officer Sanjeev Kumar Raut, and MP representative for Badabil Municipality Neelamani Mahanta.
The winners received a trophy along with a cash prize of Rs.15,000/-, while the runners-up were awarded a trophy and Rs. 7,000/-.

The Best Player award went to Irshad Khan for his exceptional performance.
Tournament Secretary Mohammad Bakhtawar, Mohammad Nisar Khan, Pappu Gupta, and senior club members played a crucial role in the successful organisation of the event.

Match umpire Firoz Khan ensured fair play throughout the tournament.
