Bus Overturns on NH‑149 in Anugola, Over 25 Injured
A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday when a passenger bus travelling from Puri to Sundargarh overturned near Burukuna Square on NH‑149 in Anugola district.
The mishap took place under the Samal police station limits, leaving more than 25 passengers injured, six of them critically.
Emergency services, including fire personnel and 108 ambulances, rushed to the spot to rescue trapped passengers.
The injured were initially taken to Khamar Community Health Centre and later shifted to Anugola District Headquarters Hospital.
Those in critical condition were referred to advanced medical facilities in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
Police have reached the site and initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as families await updates on the condition of the injured.
