Odisha STF Busts ₹1.32 Crore Ganja Racket
Bhubaneswar, July 21: Odisha’s Special Task Force (STF) has dismantled an inter‑state cannabis smuggling racket, seizing over 263 kilograms of ganja valued at approximately Rs 1.32 crore.
Acting on intelligence, STF intercepted two accused — Narasingha Digal and Mrutyunjaya Digal of Kandhamal district — who attempted to flee towards Bankual in Bhubaneswar.
After a chase, they were apprehended near Bali Jatra Padia under Badagada police limits.
The contraband was being transported from Kandhamal to Jharkhand, highlighting the scale of organised trafficking networks.
Both accused will be produced in court, and further investigation is underway to trace the wider nexus behind the operation.
