OUSSSC Opens Recruitment for 7,268 Uniformed Service Posts Through Single Combined Examination
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSC) has announced a major recruitment drive for 7,268 vacancies across various uniformed services under the Combined Uniformed Services Recruitment Examination (Below Graduate Level)-2026.
The recruitment initiative is expected to provide significant employment opportunities to aspiring candidates across Odisha.
According to the notification, candidates will be able to apply for multiple posts through a single application and examination process, marking a significant change in the state’s uniformed services recruitment system.
Earlier, applicants were required to submit separate applications and appear for different examinations for individual posts.
The recruitment covers several positions, including Constable (Civil), Constable (Communication), Constable (OISF), Firefighter, Firefighting Driver, Driver PMT, and Traffic Constable.
The introduction of a unified examination is expected to simplify the recruitment process and reduce the burden on candidates seeking opportunities in the police, fire, traffic, and industrial security services.
Eligible aspirants can compete for multiple posts through one examination, improving accessibility and efficiency in government hiring.
The vacancies are targeted at below-graduate-level candidates, with educational qualifications varying according to the post.
Candidates are advised to carefully review the detailed recruitment notification for post-wise eligibility criteria, age limits, and other requirements before applying.
The selection process is expected to include a written examination followed by physical and medical assessments as applicable to the respective posts.
Interested candidates should regularly visit the official OUSSSC website for detailed notifications, application schedules, vacancy distribution, and examination-related updates.
With over 7,000 vacancies on offer, the recruitment drive is being seen as one of Odisha’s largest opportunities for candidates seeking careers in uniformed government services.
