Odisha Vigilance Intercepts Kendrapada AEE with ₹3.15 Lakh Unaccounted Cash

Kendrapada: In a major crackdown on corruption, Odisha Vigilance officials intercepted Anupama Sahoo, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Kendrapada Drainage Division, at Marshaghai Crossing on NH‑53A.

Acting on a tip‑off, the team recovered ₹3.15 lakh in unaccounted cash from her official vehicle.

Investigators suspect the money was collected as illegal gratification from contractors to clear pending bills.

Following the interception, Vigilance seized the cash and vehicle, while simultaneous searches were conducted at her office and residence to probe possible disproportionate assets (DA).

Sahoo is currently being interrogated, and further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
