“Prepare Before Old Age”: CM Majhi Champions Mass Yoga Movement
Bhubaneswar, June 21: On International Yoga Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi urged citizens to embrace yoga as a daily practice for holistic well‑being.
Addressing a large gathering at Kalinga Stadium, he emphasised that yoga and pranayama should become routine habits, recommending 20–30 minutes of practice each day.

He encouraged youth to reduce mobile and social media use, dedicating time instead to yoga for a stress‑free life.
The Chief Minister announced that yoga chapters will be introduced in schools and colleges, alongside plans to establish a dedicated yoga institute on 20 acres in Binjhagiri, Khordha district.
He envisioned yoga becoming a mass movement, reaching households across Odisha.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, sportspersons, mothers, and senior citizens.
Majhi thanked yoga gurus, volunteers, and participants, reaffirming the government’s commitment to promoting yoga and ayurvedic healthcare services for a healthier state.
