Odisha Welcomes BRICS Delegates with Ceremonial Dinner in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar witnessed a grand ceremonial dinner hosted in honour of BRICS delegates ahead of the BRICS Education Ministerial Meeting under India’s chairship.
Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati graced the occasion alongside Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, state ministers, and senior officials.
In his address, the Governor highlighted Odisha’s pride in hosting the 3rd BRICS Senior Officials’ Meeting and emphasised the importance of collaboration in education, innovation, and research among BRICS nations.
The summit aims to strengthen partnerships in higher education, skill development, and academic exchanges.
On the sidelines, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi held bilateral talks with Indonesia’s Higher Education Minister Brian Yuliarto, focusing on institutional partnerships, student and faculty exchanges, and collaborative research.
The BRICS Education Ministerial Meeting is expected to reinforce Odisha’s growing role as a hub for global conferences and international cooperation in education.
