Heavy Rain Lashes Odisha; Narla Records Highest 131 mm
Odisha witnessed heavy to very heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours, with Narla in Kalahandi district recording the highest downpour at 131 mm.
Other regions such as Madanpur-Rampur (117 mm), Belgaon in Bolangir (115 mm), Athagarh in Cuttack (112 mm), and Mahanga in Cuttack (104 mm) also experienced significant rainfall.
Several districts, including Balangir, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Puri, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Nuapada, Sundargarh, Angul, and Gajapati, reported rainfall above 70 mm, indicating widespread impact across the state.
Meteorological officials attributed the intense showers to prevailing weather systems over the region, cautioning residents about possible waterlogging and localised flooding.
