Odisha CM Majhi Resolves 96% Complaints in 18th Grievance Hearing
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conducted his 18th public grievance hearing in Bhubaneswar, joined by 13 ministers and senior officials.
The initiative, which has become a cornerstone of Odisha’s governance model, continues to deliver high resolution rates and direct assistance to citizens.
Over the past two years, more than 2.40 lakh complaints have been addressed, with a resolution rate of 92%.
At the state level, 96% of grievances from previous hearings have been resolved.
During today’s session, over 600 complaints were filed through online and offline channels.
The CM sanctioned Rs 3.60 lakh in medical aid for 30 differently-abled and critically ill individuals, and approved Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia assistance for Kamakshi Sahu of Nayagarh, whose son died in an accident.
Majhi emphasised that grievance hearings have strengthened public trust and reduced citizens’ hardship in accessing administrative offices.
He announced plans to expand hearings to district levels after summer, enabling people in remote areas to raise issues locally.
Deputy CM Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, cabinet ministers, and senior bureaucrats, including Hemant Sharma, Saswata Mishra, and Suresh Kumar Vashishth, were present at the hearing.
