Odisha Charts Viksit Odisha 2036 Roadmap with Governance Reforms
Bhubaneswar, April 28: The Odisha government has intensified efforts to shape its long‑term development vision under Viksit Odisha 2036, focusing on sustainable growth, governance reforms, and institutional strengthening.
At a high‑level dialogue chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Usha Padhee, with participation from governance expert O. P. Agarwal, officials emphasised the need to move beyond conventional planning towards dynamic, data‑driven, and future‑ready models.
Key priorities include integrated economic, spatial, and administrative planning, streamlined governance processes, and stronger inter‑departmental coordination.
The roadmap also highlights land‑use clarity, identification of economic drivers, and capacity building to ensure Odisha’s growth aligns with global sustainability standards.
The meeting reaffirmed Odisha’s commitment to reinforcing institutional frameworks and positioning itself as a frontrunner in sustainable development and administrative excellence by 2036.
