Eight Odisha EMRS Students Head to Delhi for JEE Advanced Coaching

Bhubaneswar, April 2026: Eight students from Odisha’s Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) have been selected for advanced coaching in New Delhi after excelling in the JEE Main 2026 (Phase I).

This achievement highlights the growing success of tribal education initiatives in the state.

Among the qualifiers, Avish Alam of EMRS Karanjia stood out with a 97.50th percentile score. EMRS Lahunipara produced the highest number of achievers, with five students qualifying.

The selected group will undergo specialised training under the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS), aimed at preparing them for JEE Advanced.

The students travelled to Delhi, accompanied by escort teacher Priyanka Kumari. Odisha Model Tribal Education Society’s Joint Director, Pranati Patro, expressed gratitude to NESTS Commissioner Ajeet Kumar Srivastav for supporting the initiative.

This milestone reflects Odisha’s commitment to empowering tribal youth with access to quality education and competitive opportunities.
