Dharmendra Pradhan Seeks Blessings at Puri Srimandir After Bihar Election Triumph

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Friday following the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) decisive victory in the Bihar assembly elections.

Pradhan, who played a pivotal role in the campaign, offered prayers at the temple accompanied by servitors, party leaders, and officials.

During his visit, Pradhan paid obeisance to Patitapaban before proceeding to the Ratna Singhasan for darshan of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, Subhadra, and Sudarshan. He also performed rituals at the shrines of Goddess Bimala and Goddess Laxmi.

Speaking to the media, Pradhan attributed the BJP’s success to the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, the faith of Bihar’s people in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the popularity of central welfare schemes, and the leadership of Nitish Kumar.

In sharp remarks, Pradhan accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of “delusion” and “foreign conspiracies,” praying for him to gain “good sense.” He further criticised the Congress for engaging in divisive politics.

Pradhan also welcomed ongoing efforts to retrieve the Kohinoor diamond, historically associated with Lord Jagannath, calling it a commendable initiative. His visit underscored the intersection of politics and spirituality in Indian public life, particularly after his significant role in steering the BJP’s Bihar campaign to victory.
