Teacher Dies of Suspected Sunstroke During Census Duty in Subarnapur
Subarnapur, April 20: A tragic incident occurred in Ulunda block of Subarnapur district when Bansidhar Bhoi, a teacher from Bamaraj village, died after returning from census duty.
He had gone to Sunapali village on Sunday afternoon for census work.
After returning home, Bhoi reportedly felt unwell and collapsed. Family members rushed him to the hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.
Relatives allege that sunstroke during the field duty was the cause of his death.
The administration has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
The case highlights the serious risks faced by field staff working under extreme heat conditions in Odisha.
