CM Mohan Majhi Leads Akhi Muthi Anukula Ritual in Cuttack on Akshaya Tritiya
Cuttack, April 20: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi performed the traditional Akhi Muthi Anukula ritual at the Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI), Cuttack, marking the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya 2026.
The ceremony, part of the State‑level Krushak Divas celebrations, involved sowing seeds and conducting a sacred homayajna, symbolising prosperity and agricultural renewal.
Deputy CM KV Singh Deo also joined the event, underscoring the government’s commitment to farmers.
On this occasion, CM Majhi announced the distribution of Kisan Sahayata financial assistance and launched initiatives like Krushi Rath and Seeds on Wheels to strengthen agricultural outreach and seed distribution across Odisha.
The event highlighted Odisha’s dual focus on preserving age‑old farming traditions while introducing modern support schemes to empower farmers.
