President Murmu’s Visit: Odisha Police Issues Brahmapur Traffic Advisory (Aug 4–5, 2026)

Odisha Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s two‑day visit to Brahmapur and Taptapani on August 4–5, 2026.

The restrictions cover heavy vehicles, light vehicles, and two‑wheelers across key routes to ensure smooth movement of the President’s convoy.

On August 4 (morning), heavy vehicles are barred between Andhapasara Chowk and First Gate from 10 AM to 11:45 AM, with light vehicles restricted from 10:30 AM and two‑wheelers from 10:45 AM.

In the afternoon, bans extend from First Gate to Haldiapadar and onward to Chhatrapur on NH‑16 until 5:30 PM.

On August 5 (morning), restrictions apply between Gopalpur Junction and Golanthara on NH‑16, with staggered timings for heavy vehicles, light vehicles, and two‑wheelers.

Emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire tenders are exempt.

Authorities have urged citizens to plan routes in advance and use alternate roads to avoid inconvenience during the President’s visit.
