Odisha Singer Sourin Bhatt Faces Arrest After HC Order

Kataka Mahila Police have intensified efforts to arrest singer Sourin Bhatt after the Orissa High Court vacated its stay on a non‑bailable warrant issued by the Cuttack SDJM Court.

The warrant, along with court directions, has been forwarded to Ballygunge Police Station in Kolkata for execution.

The High Court expressed displeasure over Bhatt’s repeated failure to appear before the lower court despite clear instructions to surrender.

The case stems from a complaint filed by a woman from Kolkata, who alleged that Bhatt harassed her physically and mentally, promised marriage and career support, and took ₹10 lakh without returning it.

The FIR includes charges under IPC Sections 294, 323, 341, 376, 417, 493, and 506.

Initially registered at Jagatpur police station, the case was later transferred to the Mahila Police Station for further investigation.
