SEC Extends Door-to-Door Survey Deadline in Koraput and Malkangiri
Bhubaneswar: The State Election Commission (SEC) has extended the deadline for the ongoing Door-to-Door (D2D) Survey in Odisha’s Koraput and Malkangiri districts to facilitate the smooth completion of the exercise.
According to an official communication issued by the Commission, the extension was approved by the State Election Commissioner and conveyed to the district Collectors of Koraput and Malkangiri.
As per the revised schedule, the survey process in Koraput district will continue until November 14, while Malkangiri district has been granted time until November 21 to complete the exercise.
The SEC has directed the Collectors of both districts to ensure proper supervision and monitoring of the survey activities and complete the work within the extended timeline without any further delay.
The Door-to-Door Survey forms an important part of electoral roll-related activities, aimed at ensuring greater accuracy and inclusiveness in voter records.
The extension is expected to help field-level officials complete the verification process effectively in the geographically challenging districts.
The Commission has emphasised timely completion of the survey under the revised schedule.
