Odisha Colleges Told to Update SHe‑Box for Women’s Safety

Odisha Higher Education Department has directed all colleges and universities to strengthen safety measures for female students by mandating updates on the SHe‑Box (C‑Box) portal.

The directive, issued to ensure compliance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, requires institutions to upload details of their Internal Complaints Committees (ICC), including complaint submissions and resolution status.

Regional Directors of Education have been tasked with monitoring updates from colleges under their jurisdiction, while institutions must submit compliance reports to the department.

The initiative aims to create a safer campus environment and ensure prompt grievance redressal for female students.
