Odisha CM Majhi Witnesses Suna Besha, Reviews Crowd Management in Puri
Puri– Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi joined devotees in witnessing the grandeur of Suna Besha, where Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra were adorned with golden ornaments atop their chariots during the Rath Yatra.
Accompanied by his wife, Smt. Priyanka Marndi, the Chief Minister offered prayers and shared the spiritual fervour of the occasion with thousands of pilgrims.
The ritual, celebrated with immense devotion, symbolises prosperity and divine grace, drawing millions to the holy town.
Later, Majhi visited the Integrated Command and Control Centre at JBPC, Puri, where officials briefed him on real‑time crowd management, traffic flow, and security arrangements.
The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of seamless coordination to ensure safety and comfort for devotees during the massive influx.
The Suna Besha ritual remains one of the most visually spectacular and spiritually significant highlights of the Rath Yatra, reinforcing Odisha’s cultural heritage and devotion.
