Odisha CEO Intensifies Monitoring of Voter List Revision

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha has launched a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls with July 1, 2026 as the qualifying date.

Senior officers have been deputed to districts between July 20–29 to ensure error‑free voter lists.

During recent field visits to Jajpur, officials including Finance Consultant Sanjay Kumar Lugun and Deputy CEO Dr Lakshmi Prasad Sahu reviewed progress on claims, objections, voter registrations, and disposal of cases.

They interacted with District Election Officers, EROs, AEROs, BLO Supervisors, and Booth Level Officers to identify bottlenecks and streamline workflows.

Comprehensive reports from these visits will be submitted to the CEO, paving the way for immediate administrative and technical interventions.

The initiative aims to strengthen democratic participation by building a flawless, transparent, and time‑bound electoral roll system.
