Modi’s Record Tenure Celebrated at Puri Srimandir; Meghwal Offers Prayers
Puri, Odisha: Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal offered prayers at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic milestone as India’s longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister.
Modi has completed 4,399 days in office, surpassing all previous records.
Meghwal described the occasion as a “historic chapter in India’s democratic journey,” highlighting Modi’s focus on governance reforms, welfare delivery, and development initiatives.
After performing rituals inside the temple, Meghwal lit a ceremonial lamp near the Aruna Stambha, symbolising blessings for continued leadership.
Nationwide, temples held special prayers and ceremonies to celebrate the milestone.
NDA leaders emphasised that Modi’s tenure reflects public trust in his leadership, citing achievements in infrastructure, digital transformation, welfare schemes, and India’s growing global stature.
The celebrations coincided with NDA meetings in New Delhi, where leaders discussed governance achievements and future development plans.
