Maa Tarini’s Chaiti Parba Begins With Golden Attire Darshan
The sacred Chaiti Parba of Maa Tarini commenced on April 9, 2026, at Ghatgaon, Keonjhar, drawing thousands of devotees from across Odisha.
The Goddess was adorned in the majestic Suna Besha (Golden Attire), a tradition that will continue for seven days, offering devotees a rare and divine darshan.
The rituals began with Mahasnana (holy bath), followed by decoration with vermilion and the elaborate Bada Singhara Besha.
Worship was performed with Shodasha Upachara (16 offerings), maintaining age‑old customs.
Temple authorities have arranged barricades and facilities to ensure smooth darshan for the massive influx of devotees.
The festival, observed since 1937 under the Maa Tarini Temple Trust Board, has become a cultural and spiritual landmark.
Adding to the devotional fervour, cultural programs featuring renowned artists are being staged at the temple premises, blending tradition with celebration.
