BRICS Delegates from China and Iran Explore Odisha’s Cultural Heritage at State Museum

Bhubaneswar: Delegates from China and Iran, attending the BRICS Education Conference in Bhubaneswar, visited the Odisha State Museum to experience the state’s rich cultural legacy.

Welcomed by Museum Superintendent Dr Bharti Pal, the visitors were introduced to Odisha’s diverse heritage spanning archaeology, literature, art, and crafts.

They toured galleries showcasing palm leaf manuscripts, inscriptions, coins, weapons, and traditional crafts.

The delegates expressed particular interest in exhibits on Buddhism and Jainism, appreciating Odisha’s efforts in preserving archaeological treasures.

They engaged with museum officials on the historical significance of artefacts and were presented with the book “Timeless Tale” as a token of remembrance.

The visit highlighted Odisha’s role as a custodian of India’s cultural heritage and added a cultural dimension to the ongoing BRICS Education Conference in Bhubaneswar.
