BSF Jawan Sonu Minj Laid to Rest with Full Honours After Road Mishap in Sambalpur

Sambalpur: A pall of grief descended on Sundargarh district after BSF constable Sonu Minj tragically lost his life in a road accident near Gadaposh–Manapali under Bamara block.

Minj, who was on leave from the 127 Battalion stationed in Kupwara, Jammu & Kashmir, met with the accident on August 1 around 9 pm when his motorcycle lost control.

Despite being rushed to a private hospital in Rourkela, he succumbed to his injuries on August 2 at 6:30 pm.

His mortal remains were brought to his native village, Gomaradihi, where he was laid to rest with full national honours.

BSF officials, local administration, public representatives, and villagers paid their respects in a solemn ceremony.

His mother, Sarita Minj, informed BSF authorities via email, initiating official procedures.

Gobindpur police registered a case and began legal formalities.

The untimely demise of the young jawan has left the region in mourning, with heartfelt tributes pouring in for his service and sacrifice.
