OSEPA Fixes April 27 Deadline for Uniform Distribution
The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has directed all schools in the state to complete the distribution of uniforms and related items by April 27, 2026.
The initiative covers students from Shishu Vatika (pre-school) to Class X, ensuring timely access to essential school attire before the summer vacation.
According to the directive, students will receive uniforms, house dresses, shoes, and socks up to Class X, while identity cards and caps will be provided up to Class VIII.
The preparation and stitching of uniforms will be carried out by Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), and school-level committees such as SMCs, SMDCs, and VMDCs.
District-level committees have been tasked with monitoring the process, ensuring quality standards, and adhering to strict timelines.
Schools must submit student data by April 10, work orders will be reviewed by April 12, distribution must be completed by April 27, and quality checks must be finalised by April 30.
A consolidated report is expected to reach OSEPA headquarters by May 2.
This move underscores the state’s commitment to equitable access to education and uniformity across schools, while empowering local SHGs and committees to play a central role in execution.
