Eight MEMU Trains Cancelled in Khurda Road Division on July 7

Bhubaneswar, July 6: The East Coast Railway has announced the cancellation of eight MEMU services in the Khurda Road Division on July 7, 2026, due to safety modernisation works between Malatipatpur and Puri stations.

The affected trains include services on the Khurda Road–Puri, Puri–Khurda Road, Cuttack–Puri, Puri–Cuttack, Bhadrak–Cuttack, Cuttack–Bhadrak, Cuttack–Paradeep, and Paradeep–Cuttack routes.

Railway officials stated that the cancellations are necessary to facilitate infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving safety, reliability, and efficiency across one of Odisha’s busiest corridors.

Daily commuters, tourists, and pilgrims heading to Puri are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.

Passengers can check real‑time updates through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or the official Indian Railways website.

Once the modernisation works are complete, the upgraded infrastructure is expected to enable faster and more dependable train services in the region.
