CM Majhi Reviews Rath Yatra Preparations in Puri
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a high‑level review meeting at Puri Town Hall to assess the state’s readiness for the upcoming Rath Yatra.
Deputy Chief Ministers Pravati Parida and K.V. Singh Deo, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Shree Jagannath Temple Chief Administrator Dr Arabinda Padhee, and senior officials joined the discussion.
The meeting focused on road infrastructure, sanitation, crowd management, traffic regulation, emergency services, power supply, and water arrangements.
The Chief Minister directed departments to complete pending work swiftly and ensure seamless execution during the festival.
Officials briefed him on infrastructure upgrades, health facilities, and traffic plans to manage the expected influx of devotees.
Majhi emphasised coordination among departments, servitors, and employees to deliver an error‑free festival.
Highlighting the global significance of Rath Yatra, he reaffirmed that the safety and convenience of devotees remain the top priority.
Expressing confidence in servitors’ devotion, he concluded with a call for teamwork, discipline, and dedication to uphold Odisha’s spiritual tradition and ensure a memorable Rath Yatra 2026.
