Odisha Announces 17-Member Ranji Trophy Squad for 2026-27 Season; Subhranshu Senapati to Lead
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has announced a 17-member squad for the opening phase of the Ranji Trophy 2026-27 season, with experienced batter Subhranshu Senapati named captain of the side.
The squad has been selected for Odisha’s first two away fixtures of the domestic first-class season. Odisha will begin its campaign against Gujarat at the Narendra Modi Stadium B Ground in Ahmedabad from October 11 to 14, followed by a clash against Kerala at the Sports Hub International Cricket Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram from October 18 to 21.
The selection was finalised by the Senior Men Selection Committee led by Kulamani Parida in consultation with Head Coach Pravanjan Mullick.
A notable feature of the squad is the inclusion of four debutants who have earned their maiden call-ups to the senior state team.
Batter Om T Munde, batter Shreyansh Bhardwaj, medium-fast bowler Soumya Lenka, and all-rounder Sambit Beja have been rewarded for their consistent performances with places in the Ranji Trophy squad.
Odisha have been placed in the Elite-C Group and will be aiming for a strong start in the prestigious domestic competition.
The squad also features a blend of experience and youth, including players such as Swastik Samal, Sandeep Pattanaik, Shantanu Mishra, wicketkeepers Aashirwad Swain and Dinesh Majhi, along with all-rounders and bowlers expected to play key roles throughout the campaign.
After completing their away assignments against Gujarat and Kerala, Odisha will return home to host Services and Jharkhand at KIIT Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
With a balanced squad and several promising newcomers, Odisha will look to make a positive impact as the Ranji Trophy 2026-27 season gets underway.
