CM Majhi Mourns Senior BJD Leader Ayub Khan’s Demise
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of senior BJD leader and former Kantabanji MLA Ayub Khan.
In his condolence message, Majhi described Khan as an experienced people’s representative whose contributions to public service will remain memorable.
Ayub Khan passed away at his residence in Kantabanji, as confirmed by his son, Dr Amjad Ali Khan.
Khan’s political journey began as an Independent MLA from 2004 to 2009, before joining the BJD and serving as a legislator from 2014 to 2019.
Widely respected in western Odisha, Khan played a pivotal role in strengthening the BJD’s organisational base in Nuapada and Kantabanji.
His leadership, commitment to regional development, and ability to connect with people earned him recognition across party lines.
The Chief Minister extended heartfelt condolences to Khan’s family, acknowledging his enduring legacy in Odisha’s political landscape.
