CM Majhi Disburses ₹838 Crore Aid to Farmers on Akshaya Tritiya

Cuttack, April 20: On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya and Krushak Divas 2026, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced a major relief package for farmers under the CM Kisan Scheme.

A total of ₹838.48 crore was directly transferred to the bank accounts of 41.68 lakh farmers across Odisha.

The disbursement, made during the State‑level Krushak Divas celebrations at the Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI), Cuttack, benefited over 41.27 lakh small and marginal farmers.

The scheme aims to provide financial support for agricultural activities and strengthen rural livelihoods.

CM Majhi also performed the traditional Akhi Muthi Anukula ritual, symbolically sowing seeds and conducting a homayajna (sacred fire ceremony).

Deputy CM KV Singh Deo joined the event, which highlighted Odisha’s commitment to preserving agricultural traditions while ensuring modern welfare measures for farmers.
