President Droupadi Murmu to Embark on Three-Day Odisha Visit from August 3
President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Odisha on August 3, 2026, for a three-day official tour covering Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Brahmapur.
On the first day, she will inaugurate Jagadguru Kripalu University near Baranga in Cuttack district after landing at Bhubaneswar Airport.
She will stay overnight at Lok Seva Bhawan.
On August 4, the President will travel by special train to Brahmapur, where she will visit Taptapani hot springs, offer prayers at Maa Kandhuni Debi Peeth, and plant a sapling.
A visit to Dhabaleswar Temple near Gopalpur is also on the schedule.
Her return journey to Bhubaneswar is planned for August 5, followed by departure to New Delhi via Indian Air Force aircraft.
Ahead of the visit, Chief Secretary Anu Garg chaired a high-level review meeting with senior officials, including ACS (Home), DGP, Fire Services, railway authorities, and district collectors.
The meeting emphasised security, traffic management, medical preparedness, fire safety, and beautification of venues.
Special focus was placed on passenger amenities and safety during the President’s train journey.
The Chief Secretary directed all departments to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of arrangements, making the visit smooth, secure, and memorable.
