Pradhan’s First Visit Post‑Resignation: Focus on Odisha Growth
Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader and MP Dharmendra Pradhan met Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, and other party leaders to review the state’s developmental agenda.
The meeting, held soon after Pradhan’s resignation as Union Education Minister over the NEET‑UG 2026 paper leak controversy, focused on strategies to accelerate Odisha’s growth.
Pradhan emphasized that discussions covered a wide range of issues concerning infrastructure, education, and governance.
This was Pradhan’s first visit to Odisha following his resignation.
He received a warm welcome at Biju Patnaik International Airport, where BJP leaders and ministers greeted him.
Chief Minister Majhi praised Pradhan’s contributions to education, particularly his role in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).
He described Pradhan’s resignation as a principled act, underscoring his commitment to public service and accountability.
