President Murmu’s Odisha Visit Cancelled Again; New Schedule Yet to Be Announced
Bhubaneswar: Droupadi Murmu’s proposed visit to Odisha has been cancelled once again, marking the second disruption to her scheduled tour in recent days.
According to official sources, the President’s planned three-day visit to the state, beginning November 3, will no longer take place as scheduled.
The cancellation was confirmed by district authorities in Mayurbhanj, who had been making extensive preparations for the President’s arrival.
Officials said they received communication regarding the deferment and are now awaiting further instructions from the concerned authorities.
The latest development comes after an earlier postponement of the President’s Odisha visit that had been scheduled for October 28.
That visit was deferred due to safety concerns arising from Cyclonic Storm Arnab.
During her proposed visit, Droupadi Murmu was expected to participate in official programmes and visit her native region in Mayurbhanj district.
The repeated changes in schedule have left local administrations and residents awaiting fresh dates for the President’s visit.
As of now, no revised itinerary has been announced. Officials said further updates are expected from the President’s Secretariat and the state administration.
