According to officials, the decision was made considering safety and security requirements amid continuous heavy rainfall.
President Murmu was initially scheduled to visit Rairangpur on October 28, but the programme was postponed because of the approaching cyclone. The visit was later rescheduled for November 3 to 5.
However, worsening weather conditions have forced another postponement.

The President’s proposed itinerary included visits to the Maa Kichakeswari Temple, Laxmi Mandap, her residence in Rairangpur, healthcare facilities, sports complexes, and developmental institutions in the region.
