Odisha Vigilance Raids 7 Properties of Kotpad AEE in DA Case

Bhubaneswar/Koraput: Odisha Vigilance on Friday launched simultaneous raids on seven properties linked to Satyanarayan Sethy, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Kotpad Block in Koraput district, following allegations of disproportionate assets.

Acting on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore, teams comprising 7 DSPs, 9 Inspectors, 11 ASIs and supporting staff carried out searches at Sethy’s residences, office chamber, government quarters, parental house, and two farms.

The raids targeted properties in Jeypore, Jatani, Kendrapada, Kotpad, and Boriguma Tahasil.

Officials are verifying documents, bank records, movable and immovable assets to assess whether they exceed known sources of income.

At the time of reporting, searches were still underway.

A detailed inventory of assets will be prepared once the operation concludes.

The case forms part of Odisha Vigilance’s ongoing drive against corruption and accountability among public servants.
