Odisha SIR Campaign Covers 1.23 Crore Voters in 6 Days

Odisha has marked a historic achievement in its Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign, covering over 1.23 crore voters in just six days, which accounts for 30.64% of the state’s electorate.

The initiative, launched by the Chief Electoral Officer, aims to ensure a cleaner, error‑free, and more inclusive electoral roll ahead of upcoming polls.

A total of 45,255 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are conducting door‑to‑door verification across urban and rural areas.

Each voter receives two copies of Form‑3, one retained by the BLO and the other serving as an acknowledgement slip.

To boost awareness, urban campaigns are leveraging LED screens, hoardings, mic announcements, and social media, while rural outreach includes traditional folk arts such as Pala, Dasakathia, and Dengurapita.

Competitions in speech, painting, and rangoli have further engaged communities, especially youth and first‑time voters.

The enthusiastic public response across tribal villages and cities reflects Odisha’s commitment to democratic participation.

With the campaign continuing, officials are confident of achieving 100% coverage, setting a benchmark for accuracy and inclusiveness in electoral rolls.
